It’s 5 weeks until Christmas. Okay, I know, scary thoughts.
However, there’s no need to panic about shopping at busy chain stores this holiday season. You can shop local and support your neighbors by shopping at the Gallatin Valley Farmers’ Market (away from the rush of Black Friday-weekend sales).
One of the many Bozeman to-dos is the Gallatin Valley Farmers’ market located at the fairgrounds. Bozemanites can experience fresh produce and local artists selling beautifully crafted works ranging from earrings to paintings to handmade spoons.
This year’s holiday market is Saturday, November 28, from 9 am to 3 pm, in the exhibit buildings at the Gallatin Valley Fairgrounds. Whether homemade or homegrown, this market provides opportunities for local vendors to sell their one-of-a-kind goods straight to the Bozeman community.
Fun fact about this event: The Gallatin Valley Farmers’ Market began in 1971 and has been managed by Career Transitions since 1996, a local nonprofit that assists the community through workforce and community development, education, training, and employment. The fees paid by the vendors go directly to providing literacy and training services for the Gallatin Valley community and surrounding area.
